Terms & service framework
A clear understanding.
Considered service begins with clear responsibilities.
Who you appoint. What you pay for. Who makes the purchase.
You pay WANT for the agreed service.
You contract with and pay suppliers directly. We do not hold purchase funds or commit you to buying.
Who you are working with
WANT is a trading name of Split Decision Ventures Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16820678. Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Our contact email is hq@splitdecision.uk.
Our role is private sourcing and acquisition coordination. We help clients investigate significant purchases and organise the agreed next steps. The scope of each engagement is set out in a written proposal.
A clear engagement before paid work
An enquiry begins a conversation. It does not authorise a purchase or incur a service fee. We assess whether a request is suitable before offering an engagement.
Before you commit to paid work, we provide the scope, deliverables, exclusions, fee and currency, applicable taxes, timing, cancellation information and assignment-specific terms. Material changes require your express agreement. There is no automatic authority to increase your budget or begin additional paid stages.
This page explains our general service framework. The written engagement supplied to you identifies the applicable contractual terms and how the engagement is accepted. This page does not retrospectively change an existing contract or remove mandatory legal rights.
How the money works
WANT charges for its sourcing and coordination work separately from the price of the acquisition. The agreed fee for each service stage is payable before that stage begins, subject to the applicable cancellation and start arrangements.
You enter the purchase contract directly with the supplier and pay the supplier directly. Independent inspections, transport, installation and other specialist services are also contracted and paid for directly by you. Their costs and responsibilities must be established before commitment.
WANT does not finance acquisitions, advance deposits or expenses, hold purchase funds, provide escrow, buy items for resale to you or guarantee your payment obligations. Please do not send supplier payments to WANT.
Advance payment does not by itself make a service fee non-refundable. Your cancellation and refund rights depend on the engagement and applicable law. Any proposed supplier commission or referral benefit must be disclosed and agreed before the affected work.
Research, checks and independent advice
We undertake our agreed service with reasonable care and skill. We distinguish supplier claims, estimates, independently supported information and outstanding questions. Availability, price, authenticity, condition and delivery must not be assumed from a listing or a research result.
The engagement specifies the checks WANT will undertake and those requiring an independent specialist. We do not provide an authenticity certificate, valuation, legal opinion, tax advice or technical survey merely by recommending an option. Research software and AI can assist our work; they do not replace appropriate verification or our responsibility for the service we provide.
A sourcing engagement pays for defined work rather than a guaranteed purchase. If no suitable route is found, we explain the result. This does not excuse incomplete or defective work or remove any remedy available to you.
Delivery and international arrangements
Delivery, installation, packaging removal, documentation and aftercare are included only to the extent agreed. Your proposal identifies the responsibilities and exclusions, including unresolved costs or dependencies.
For international purchases, the parties responsible for export permissions, import clearance, duties, insurance and delivery must be identified before commitment. WANT does not act as importer of record, carrier, custodian or insurer under this service framework, and does not place insurance or provide regulated advice.
We consider countries and specialist categories individually. A worldwide enquiry does not mean every assignment can be accepted. Supplier timelines remain estimates unless the responsible party expressly confirms otherwise. We explain material delays and discuss a revised plan.
Cancellation and starting work
Your engagement includes the cancellation rules that apply to your service. Where UK consumer distance-contract cancellation rights apply, the usual cancellation period for a service is 14 days beginning the day after the contract is made. Different or additional mandatory protections may apply to international clients.
If you want us to start during an applicable cancellation period, we need an express early-start request. Where the legal conditions are met, cancellation after that request may require payment proportionate to the service supplied up to cancellation. Starting work alone does not remove the right to cancel. Loss of that right on full performance requires the applicable consent and acknowledgement conditions to be satisfied.
You can give a clear cancellation notice by emailing hq@splitdecision.uk or writing to the registered office above. A particular form is not required. Where UK statutory cancellation rules apply, refunds due are made without undue delay and within 14 days of cancellation notice, using the original payment method unless otherwise expressly agreed, with no refund fee.
Cancellation of WANT’s service does not automatically cancel your separate supplier purchase. Supplier cancellation and return conditions must be considered before buying; they do not replace your rights concerning WANT’s own service.
Responsibility and concerns
Suppliers and specialists are responsible for the obligations in their own contracts with you. WANT does not guarantee their performance. That distinction does not remove responsibility for our own negligence, misleading statements, failure to perform agreed checks or other breach of our obligations.
Nothing on this page excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes mandatory consumer rights. Client approval is not a waiver of our duty to perform our agreed service with reasonable care and skill.
Please raise any concern with hq@splitdecision.uk, including your request reference and what you would like us to investigate. We will explain the next steps. You remain free to use professional advisers and exercise your legal rights.
Discretion and records
We limit the use and disclosure of client information to the agreed work and other lawful purposes explained in our privacy notice. We do not use your name or acquisition in publicity without separate permission. Supplier coordination may require necessary information to be shared; confidentiality is not a promise that no service provider will ever process information.
Keep copies of the engagement, supplier terms, quotations and approvals. Please do not upload passports, payment-card details or bank documents through the reference-photo form. Contact us if sensitive verification material is requested.
The governing-law and dispute provisions are set out in your engagement. An English-law clause does not automatically remove mandatory protections or court rights available to an overseas consumer.
